But I need one tonight Mom......

Every parent remembers this. The night the middle school child comes home and needs a poster board that night for a project due the next day. Of course it is winter in Tennessee right now. So after rushing out, buying said poster board, working on the project, and having it ready to go the next morning, we have had four days off for snow. Project still sits by the door, and now we have "nothing" to do because of the snow.

You want me to go out there? And go pee where? Your kidding right? It's hard to go potty when your tummy is dragging in the snow!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Well the month of January was certainly full of snow. The kids didn't go back to school until the 13th, then missed part of last week and this week for snow. It is still quite deep, so we don't expect to go to school tomorrow either. Tj is having fun snowboarding, but I think everyone else is ready for it to be over. The big pile behind the kids is from the snowplow. The last picture is off our front porch and of our street.

Hi everyone, sorry we haven't been blogging much. Between the weather and the decision to close the bakery we  have just been to busy. Hopefully after the new year we will be back in the swing of things and catch everyone up. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Bbrrrr......

It is snowing hard in Tennessee, over four inches so far. The dogs have their coats on, but still won't go outside and get their feet wet. Everyone is snowed in and power is going out all over. The roads to our house have been closed down, and everyone is snuggled in for their long winters nap.

Daisy

This is Daisy, Rebecca's birthday gift. She is a Wheaten Dachshund, very sweet tempered with wiry hair.  She and Tidbit are still working out who is the boss but I think Tidbit will have to resign the title.

Last night was Rebecca's 17th birthday. We had dinner at La Carretta where our neighbor, Adam put a sombrero on her head and everyone sang Happy Birthday in Spanish to her. Topped off with a Twilight "Team Edward" Pillowcase and pins, she had a great night. She can't wait to see New Moon this weekend. 

Christopher's Recital

Christopher had his recital Wednesday, November 18, 2009 with Music by Ravel, Purcell, Finzi, Donaudy, and Hogan. He did wonderful. Everyone was so proud of him. He had to create the program and work out all the details himself. He was graded on it for college. Everyone came to hear him, friends, family and other students. He sang for about a half hour and did a great job.
