Dinner Everyone?
Crock Pots are wonderful things. It is so nice to know that when you come home from softball or tutoring or whatever after school that dinner is done. Whether it is pot roast, fajitas or chicken and mushrooms it is nice to know you don't have to decide and cook after you get home. Of course the kids like them on their dish night so they don't have to wash a lot. We have gone through four crock pots in the last few years just wearing them out.
It's Mother's Day!
Yesterday was Mother's Day. Jamie, Lynn, TJ, Cassidy and Kasey all came by after church. Paul made steak sandwiches with fried onions on them and we had a quiet day. Cassidy found cattipillars and ladybugs, of course bringing them to us each to see before putting them on uncle TJ's arm.
Cassidy painted me a flower pot with a plant in it, and the big kids gave me an Olive Garden gift certificate, Yum. Rebecca got me flowers from church for having the most kids. Jennie and Timmy hand drew me cards.
Matthew and Timmy had a birthday party in the afternoon for the boy next door at the Gray Fossil Site and had a great time. They dug up fossils and tour the site. The cake had a red panda on it which was the first fossil they found at that site.
Jamie and Lynn went back to work on putting up their tongue and grove ceiling in, they got the wood for the ceiling and floor in this week.
Hope everyone else had a good mothers day, a quiet and uneventful one.

Ready, Aim. Fire.
After celebrating Mother's Day with me, Tj decided to go have some fun with one of his friends - Daniel Baker- target shooting. Fortunately he is very good and only targets were injured.
(Although he says that Daniel is even better shot)

Life is good
TJ is having fun with finals this week, he is working sleep in between school, library and work as much as he can. To add to the fun he is moving into a new apartment in two weeks and turning twenty-one at the end of the month.
TJ passed and is now officially a senior!

Softball Time in Tennessee
we just got back home from the softball game against Sullivan South. Rebecca got to play both Varsity and Junior Varsity games. She caught, ran, hit and received a beautiful scrape on her upper back thigh for her efforts (and a couple of runs).

Rebecca and Daisy
Rebecca spends most of her spare time playing with her best friend Daisy! In between softball and school and church this is what she is up to.
Cassidy's School Picture
Cassidy had school pictures done at Ashley Academy. She was very proud of them .
Next week is her ballet recital so expect more pictures then. She is a teddy bear in the recital.

Spring is Sprung, the grass has riss..... wonder what the white stuff is?
Spring has sprung at Jamie's house! The tulips are blooming in her side flowerbeds, the grass is up in the front and the certificate of occupancy has been issued. Now Jamie can do her taxes with Obama's tax credit! It is nice to know that one person in the family has benefited from Obama taking office. She got the car trade in with her old blazer back in the fall resulting in the new Hyundai Accent also.
