Meet Carvel (CW) Starr

CW is Cassidy's Daddy and has been with Kasey three years now. Cassidy is very much Daddy's little princess. He owns his own sheetrock company - A1 Drywall and has more work than he can do. In his spare time he breeds and sells pit bull puppies that are very sweet. On the boys birthdays last year, he brought over his drywall stilts and taught the boys how to walk on them. Someone that is over six feet looks really tall on stilts. He did the drywall in our front bathroom and it took him about 15 minutes to do what would have taken Paul all day easily. He takes Cassidy fishing in the summer (with her pink fishing pole) and is getting used to being part of a really large family.

Meet Randy Peel

This is Kasey and TJ's little brother Randy. He is four and a half years old now. They come up a couple of times a year so he can see everyone. He is VERY active. They come on vacations with us sometime and thinks of all of the kids as brothers and sisters. His hair used to be longer but he decided at Thanksgiving to give himself a trim. Mom didn't have any choice but the cut he has. His mom, Mary Ann is a very sweet woman and very into arts and crafts. She does alot of ceramics among other things. She actually grew up in Knoxville and went to the same high school as Paul (but we forgive her for that).

Meet Lynn Gammon

Lynn and Jamie have been together for over five years now. Lynn is a die hard democrat (yes, we can blame him for Obama), has a great sense of humor, and loves to work outside. He owns his own landscaping company and equipment, still works for his Dad's company on the side and is building Jamie her dream house with his own two hands. He knows everything there is to know about construction, plumbing and landscaping. He spoils Jamie as much as she will let him. He is always reliable in an emergency (like when the pipe broke in my garage New Years Day). He takes care of his mom and Granny whenever they need anything. Timmy enjoys working with Lynn whenever Lynn will let him. Lynn has done all the work on the house from digging the footers to putting on the roof and everything in between. It will be great to see him finally carry Jamie across the threshold of the house.

Meet Devin Herron (soon to be Plaas)

It occured to me that alot of you that see the web page haven't met Devin so I thought I would tell you a little about her.

She and Christopher met years ago, and it was ment to be for them. She balances Christopher so well, she is obviously his soul mate. She is one of those people that when you are around her you just have to smile. She is very eco-conscience. She loves to entertain and cook for family and friends. She works at a day care and loves kids. She will make a great mom someday.

Cassidy and Rat

Cassidy wanted one more picture with Rat. He is her favorite toy that goes everywhere with her. Now with her kitchen stuff she "feeds" him. He fits in the carseat right beside her for trips. Kasey now has a spare for when he needs to be washed. She had to pick the only solid white stuffed animal in her bucket to be the favorite toy.

Meet Laura J Ford

I wanted to tell you a little about TJ's girlfriend Laura that you frequently see on this blog. She attends ETSU with TJ and Christopher. She and TJ have been together over a year and a half now. She is a talented musician and vocalist. She plays the guitar and mandolin among other things. She especially enjoys playing bluegrass and singing for her church. We are so happy she is part of the family.

It is really great and has links to the stores they are registered at. It has the story about their courtship and its really nice so be sure and check it out.

They have offically decided on the wedding location. It will be at the Safe Haven farm at Roan Mountain. Devin picked her dress out, it's really pretty. It is from a shop in Knoxville. She will make a beautiful bride. The outdooor wedding will be wonderful, it will be spring and everything should be blooming.

Matthew's updates

Matthew is now offically in the NAVY. He is going into EOD, that is Explosive Ordnance Disposal. He is very excited. He goes to meetings at the recruiting station, and then weekly he goes to ETSU to work with a group getting ready for the physical test. He can do everything, he just has to get faster doing his sit ups and pull ups because they are timed. He will head to boot camp in July. The hardest thing for him will be cutting that long hair.

Matthew just got back from his vacation in Florida with his Mom. He got a new book which he read in two days. He shinnied up a palm tree to pick a fresh coconut (he is still picking out splinters). Lots of time at the beach and fishing with Connor. He got back just in time to go to school for two days and then be out for snow.

He had a great Christmas, he got an Ipod, leather motorcyle jacket, and a camel skin jacket that he loves.

Jamie is home re-cooping

It has been a busy week this week. Jamie went to the dentist and had her wisdom teeth on the bottom pulled out. She actually thought she would be able to work the next day. Fortunately, her boss new better and told her she had the day off. She is home recovering and should be back to school Monday.

Jello Jiggler Night

Tonight Cassidy and Mommy made Jello Jigglers. Cassidy helped cut the different shapes, but of course the best part is eating them!
